The Rev1 App (the “App”) is operated by Rev 1 Energy, Inc., a Florida corporation ("REV1" or “we” or “our”). REV1 wants to make your experience with our App pleasant, convenient and safe. Your privacy is very important to us. This privacy policy (“Privacy Policy”) describes the information we collect about you and how we use this information. 

What Kind of Information Does REV1 Energy Collect?

We collect the following information from you when you use our App:

  • If you are a Candidate user of our App, we collect your full name, mailing address, birth month and day (optional), skill sets, work experience, and availability (i.e. date on which you would be available) (collectively, “Profile Information”).
  • If you are a Client user and choose to submit a job requisition, we will request the job title, employment type, description, skills required, hours per week, duration of the job, and start date (collectively “Job Requisition Information”).
  • If you contact us through the App, we will collect your name, email address or telephone number and the content of any message that you provide to us (collectively, “General Inquiry Information”).
  • Those Candidates that are selected for a particular job, will also have the option to input the hours that they have worked on a given job and upload expense and receipt information (collectively, “Specific Job Information”).
  • The App includes messaging functionality that will permit you to send messages to a desired REV1 employee and receive responses from that employee, which necessarily requires that we collect the name of the person you desire to contact and the content of your message to that person (collectively, “Message Information”).
  • If you are a Candidate user of our App, we may receive certain information about you, with your authorization, in connection with placing you in a job, including background check, drug screening, and physical medical examination results (collectively, “Hiring Information”). This information is not stored or accessible within the App.

How Does REV1 Use My Information?

We use the information that we collect from you in the following ways:  

  • We use your Profile Information for purposes of creating your account and a profile on the App. We also use your Profile Information to perform App-related transactions within the App, to administer customer and user support, and we capture aggregate usage information.  If you have made the selection to be included within the pool of candidates for open jobs, we will use your Profile Information in connection with filtering and identifying candidates for client job openings.  Where applicable, we will provide your Profile Information (excluding birth month and day, user name, or password information) in response to a job opening in which you match the client’s criteria.  
  • We use Job Requisition Information, to the extent applicable, for purposes of matching our client’s desired criteria with available candidates from our candidate pool.
  • We use your General Inquiry Information for purposes of responding to your specific question or comment to us.
  • If you opt-in to receiving such information, we will use your email address to provide you with news about new or additional products/services (offered by us or third parties) that might be of interest to you.
  • We use Specific Job Information that is entered into the App for purposes of providing that information to the applicable client for purposes of their processing of payroll and expense reimbursement.
  • Your Message Information is used to transmit your message to the desired REV1 employee and to facilitate a response from that REV1 employee. Message Information is stored on our system to facilitate a chat conversation between you and the desired recipient of the message.  
  • In connection with the placement of a Candidate, we will use Hiring Information for purposes of updating the progress of certain processes, such as displaying to you, within the App, that your background check, drug screening, or physical medical examination results have been received or are still outstanding. The contents of any report about your background check, drug screening or physical medical examination results are not stored or accessible within the App.
  • We use general aggregated information about your use of the App to customize the products and services that you see; improve the user experience navigating through the App by understanding the most commonly utilized computing device types, functions and features among our users; combat fraud and malicious activity on the App; and identify, troubleshoot, and resolve App performance issues.

Does REV1 Share My Information With Third Parties?

We share certain Personal Information and Browsing Information we collect about you with third parties. If you are a Candidate user (as defined below), we will share your Personal Information with our Client users (as defined below) for the purpose of facilitating job engagements. We also share such information with those who perform services for us or with whom we contract for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.  We use third party service providers to make our App and services available to us, including web and data hosting, application development, and software service providers.  

If REV1, or substantially all of our assets, are sold, or REV1 reorganizes or merges into another company, then customer information, including Personal Information, will likely be one of the transferred assets.

On rare occasions, we may be required to disclose your Personal Information as required by law and as necessary to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process served on us. Or we may need to do so to protect our customer’s rights.

As defined in the Terms of Use, a Candidate is a user who is a project employee/contractor that possesses certain skillsets/expertise and may be available to provide services as may be requested from REV1’s clients (i.e. Clients) from time to time. A Client is a user who utilizes the App to search for potential Candidates who may be able to provide services on a contract basis.

Is My Information Secure With REV1?

REV1 uses security measures to protect the privacy of your Personal Information. However, transmissions over the Internet are not completely secure, and any information you send to or through our App may be accessible by others. REV1 cannot guarantee our security measures.

You are responsible for maintaining the secrecy of your user name, password, and any account information. It is important for you to be responsible and protect your user name, password, and device against unauthorized users. It is important to sign off when you have completed using a device accessible by others. 

How does REV1 Protect Kids' Privacy?

We are concerned about the safety of children when they use the Internet and will never knowingly request personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 18 or classified as a minor under applicable law. Users of our App must be at least 18 years old. If you are under 18 years old or otherwise classified as a minor, you should not provide information to us.  If a child has provided us with personal information, that child’s parent or guardian should contact us (see below) to delete such information from our records.

Sensitive Information

We ask that you not send us, and you not disclose, any sensitive Personal Information (e.g., information related to racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religion or other beliefs, health or medical condition or criminal background) on or through the App or otherwise to us. Notification of Changes

REV1 will make periodic changes to this privacy policy, and we will post the changes on the App. Please take a look at the “Last Updated” legend at the bottom left hand corner of this Privacy Policy to determine when it was last revised. We will also notify you by e-mail if there is a material change in our privacy practices or policies. Your continued use of our App will constitute your acceptance of any such amendment.

How You Can Access, Change or Suppress Your Personal Information?

To review, correct, update, suppress, delete, or otherwise limit our use of your Personal Information that you previously provided us, please email, call, or write us using the contact information listed below in the “Contact Us” section and clearly describe your request. 

In your request, please make clear what information you would like to have changed, whether you would like to have your Personal Information suppressed from our database, or otherwise let us know what limitations you would like to put on our use of your Personal Information.  We will try to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable.  Note that despite our efforts, there may be residual information that will remain within our databases and other records that will not be removed or changed.  

European Union Data Rights

The European Union’s (“EU”) General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”) requires that certain information be provided to data subjects when personal data is collected from a data subject, which is detailed below.  References to terms such as “controller,” “personal data,” “processor,” and “supervisory authority” shall have the meanings set forth in Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016.

  • Personal data is processed for the purposes detailed in this Privacy Policy. The legal basis for the processing that is set forth herein is by your affirmative, opt-in consent and by contract with us, pursuant to our Terms of Use/License Agreement.   
  • We provide personal data to third parties in accordance with this Privacy Policy, including Clients and third party service providers that render services to us pursuant to contracts, which requires that they only use personal data, if applicable, to the extent required to perform their services for REV1.
  • The personal data we collect is stored until you contact us to request deletion of the information.
  • Where personal data collected from you on our App or through communications with us is noted as being required or mandatory for you to provide to us, this data is necessary in order for us to provide a requested service to you or to enable you to engage in a particular function on our App. If you choose against providing us with the required information, you will not be permitted to receive the service or engage in the function.  
  • REV1 is located in the United States. To the extent any information must be transferred to a third country or international organization, REV1 will comply with applicable data privacy laws, including execution of the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.

 

EU Data Rights 

Individuals located within the EU have certain data rights, including the right to request access to and rectification of your personal data.  You have the right to request erasure of your personal data or for a restriction of processing as it concerns you.  You have the right to object to processing and a right to data portability.  You have a right to lodge a complaint against us with a supervisory authority.  To the extent the processing of your personal data is based upon your consent, you have the right to withdraw your consent and exercise your data rights at any time by contacting us at the address below.
